Can you imagine being homeless, sleeping outside in the dangerously cold air with a newborn baby in tow? This adorable baby is just beginning his precious life and spending his first months on the streets of South Dekalb County. He deserves to be sleeping in a bassinet in his mother’s home. Instead, their home is Flat Shoals Road…literally.

In January, New Life Community Alliance doubled its overnight warming station capacity to accommodate 23 individuals, extended operations to 7 nights a week, and opened its doors to men and women of all ages.

NLCA’s running expenses to-date are nearly $20,000 and counting. This is an expense that was not planned but urgently necessary.

South Dekalb neighbors desperately need your help. Will you please donate today so that all who access NLCA are sheltered from the frigid winter air? We would love to serve everyone who comes through our doors find refuge, nourishing meals, a place of rest, and nurturing volunteers who provide a welcome respite from the streets.
