At NLCA, we are proud to see how our GED PATH program is empowering individuals and creating brighter futures through education. Recently, we hosted our GED PATH entrance exams and interviews, and the results were nothing short of inspiring:
- 22 new students completed 66 exams to assess their readiness for the GED.
- Personalized, one-on-one interviews with Student Success Advisor, Tia Adams, helped each student develop a clear educational plan and set goals for success.
- 9 volunteers provided invaluable support, assisting with grading and organization to ensure a smooth process.
We are grateful to our New Life Food Team for providing a hearty breakfast to fuel the day and keep everyone energized.
This event is just one example of how the GED PATH program is changing lives, building skills, and building the confidence they need to succeed. Empowering individuals to achieve their educational goals is how we create a better future for South DeKalb and beyond.
We are also happy to report that 14 returning students, now in their 12th week of coaching, are nearly ready to take their official GED exams. We’re excited for the students who are taking these important steps toward their GED and look forward to cheering them on as they continue their educational journey.
