Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Environmental Justice Forum this past Saturday, January 27, 2024. Your active participation and insights have been invaluable in shaping our community’s environmental priorities.
This event was a continuation of our October listening session, where multiple agencies shared updates and opportunities in DeKalb County that can build a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
Thank you to State Rep. Becky Evans for organizing the event, Georgia Power and Rhonda Thomas for sponsoring, and everyone who supported in getting this off the ground including New Life Church, Pastor Marlin Harris, DeKalb County, Science for Georgia, Georgia State University, GCV Education Fund, GIPL SouthRiver Watershed Alliance, Georgia WAND, Commissioner Ted Terry, Snapping Shoals EMC, and MARTA.
Join us in shaping South DeKalb’s future! Stay tuned for a special environmental project coming this April.
