Dignity Services

Income-Based Housing
Connecting neighbors with a range of housing opportunities to stabilize our children and families.
- We currently offer homeless prevention services in the form of financial support to resolve past-due rent and utility bills and prevent eviction. Case management services are provided to prepare clients to qualify for secure stable housing. We have transitioned more than 200 families from local extended stay motels to stable housing.
- As we scale our work, with support from new and existing partners, we will start with investments in multi-family rental housing, and progress to creating affordable single-family for sale opportunities in our community.
Workforce Development
Coordinated with our official launch of NLCA, we are proud to debut a 10-year partnership with PeopleShores, which will provide job training and upskilling, and ultimately create up to 250 livable wage jobs in our community.
- We currently provide Career Services through resume review and creation, job placements through partners, continuing education (certifications and professional development) and Job Fairs.
- Our vision for this next chapter includes new job training partnerships with the public and private sectors, skill-building and continued education opportunities for our local workforce, and local job opportunities in South DeKalb.

Education
Ensuring quality educational opportunities that will prepare our children and families for higher learning and earnings to break the cycle of poverty.
- We currently offer educational services for children and adults, including an elementary after school program for third and fourth graders, young adult mentoring, and GED classes for clients in all stages of life.
- We will soon expand these services, with a goal of securing Head Start slots for our community.
- Quality education also includes practical life skills. We offer financial coaching for our clients to help them build self-sufficiency. Coaching includes developing personal budgets, opening savings accounts (incentive-based – matching dollars provided by United Way of Greater Atlanta).
Health & Wellness
Our future vision includes providing on-site health and wellness services to offer affordable and accessible medical care from a trusted provider partner organization.
- At our New Life campus, we regularly host health screenings and informational workshops on issues such as kidney disease and prevention.
- Behavioral health is a key component of overall well-being. In 2023 alone, 331 clients received case management services.
- Our future vision includes an on-site health clinic to expand medical care from a trusted provider partner organization into South DeKalb.
