This month, NLCA was honored to welcome an incredible group of volunteers whose time, energy, and heart made a real impact on families across South DeKalb.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Sergeant Powell, the dedicated Army volunteers, and the amazing students from Georgia State University and Arabia Mountain High School who showed up to serve at NLCA’s Food Distribution Center. Their teamwork and generosity helped us deliver essential groceries and resources to hundreds of neighbors in need.

From sorting and packing to distributing food with care and kindness, each volunteer played a vital role in making sure our community felt supported and seen. In a time when so many are facing rising costs and ongoing challenges, this kind of hands-on support means everything.

At NLCA, we believe no one should have to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table. That’s why our Food Distribution Center continues to be a lifeline for families—and why volunteers like these are such a critical part of our mission.

To every individual who showed up and gave their time: thank you! You reminded us what community truly looks like.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to get involved, we’d love to have you on board. Visit nlca-atl.org/volunteer-with-us to learn how you can help make a difference.
