We are happy to report that Grandma Pat’s journey from homelessness to finding a stable home has taken a positive turn! Following the NLCA Christmas Breakfast, where Grandma Pat attended with her six grandchildren, the staff responded immediately to their urgent needs. Recognizing the burden Grandma Pat faced after unexpectedly taking custody of her grandchildren, NLCA provided two warm hotel rooms, essential groceries, and baby items within 24 hours.
Since then, NLCA has been actively involved in securing a permanent residence, guiding Grandma Pat through budgeting, ensuring her grandkids are registered for school, and facilitating a smooth transition into their new home this month. Our hearts are full of joy as we watch Grandma Pat’s family begin a new chapter in their lives!
