As temperatures plummet, NLCA is proud to announce the expansion of our Overnight Warming Station services, now available 7 DAYS A WEEK throughout the winter season! We’re here to provide a haven of warmth and care for our community members who are homeless.
Expanded Capacity and Extended Hours:
- Accommodating More Guests: We have increased our capacity from 13 to 23 guests, ensuring that more individuals have a safe and warm place to spend the night.
- Extended Operating Hours: Our doors will be open from 7 PM to 7 AM, offering a respite from the cold during the most critical hours of the night.
Comfort and Sustenance:
- Warm Cots: Each guest will be provided with a cozy cot and bedding, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep.
- Hearty Meals: Dinner and breakfast will be served to all guests, with nutritious lunch packs available to take on the go. We believe that a warm meal is essential for both the body and soul.
First Come, First Served:
- Fair Access: We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing those who arrive at our doors seeking shelter. Everyone deserves a warm and safe place, and NLCA is here to provide it.
A Beacon of Support in DeKalb County:
- Unprecedented Commitment: NLCA is proud to be the ONLY organization in DeKalb County keeping its doors open seven days a week. We are dedicated to fostering a sense of community and compassion, especially during the coldest months of the year.
