NLCA’s 2025 Thanksgiving Foodbox Giveaway was a beautiful celebration of generosity, togetherness, and hope.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the call for support was met with open hearts. Donors contributed food and funds, showing that compassion and generosity are the heartbeat of NLCA’s outreach.
Over 250 volunteers showed up in full force to help distribute 3,751 turkeys and food boxes to our South DeKalb neighbors. Each turkey, each box, and every single smile was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community.
Special thanks to sponsors, DeKalb County CEO’s Office and Midwest Food Bank, whose partnership provided an extra 400 food boxes and $25 gift cards for turkeys.
Because of you, more families sat down to a hearty, hope-filled Thanksgiving meal. Together, we are changing our community, one meal at a time.
